Christmas Card

Professor Gardner introduced us to the story of Eyvind Earle and showed us a documentary about his work. He also organized our Portfolio Builder class to create Christmas cards as a group project.

Professor Gardner helped me pick these two simple colors to give the card an old-school, vintage holiday look.

Later, we talked about whether making it a red truck would fit the holiday theme better, but we ended up keeping the sleigh because we all felt it was the better idea. I also cleaned up the line work a bit.

I want to give a big thank-you to Professor Gardner for directing and guiding us throughout this project. His feedback, support, and direction really helped shape the final work.

And I also want to thank UTD ATEC for providing the holiday message and supporting the project. I’m really grateful for everyone’s help.

v1.0

My idea started with two Santa Clauses trying to fix a sleigh that has an engine on it. There’s a reindeer just staring at them like he’s supervising… or, you know, rushing them to hurry up.
